Very clear to me ...........

a) legal on multi-lane roads

Multi means more than three here. Legal where there are 3 lanes or more going the same direction. I clearly remember this one from the exam. I answered "Two lanes" because of the book (it's illegal in Canada with 2 lanes) and got it wrong, the officer had me correct it on my exam to "three lanes or more". See the picture? It shows three lanes. The text starts with "It is legal to overtaking" , this shows you that you should not rely 100% of what you read in that book full of mistakes and bad translations. One question even had no possible answer...

b ) legal on single lane road when the vehicle in front is turning right.

That's if you don't mind pushing motorcycles following over to the side and meeting oncoming motorcycles driving on the wrong side, or meeting a car making a u-turn. Very dangerous if you ask me.

c) ILLEGAL at any other time

:oYeah right.

You have to ask why it is legal on multi lane roads in situations other than extreme congestion..

Just under cutting at full blast on the motorway should not be legal.. Slip streaming past in crawling traffic should..

Did anybody understand the descriptions listed under 'Vehicle Types'? Most 4WD's weigh more than 1.2 Tonnes unladen. Geez, my old Landcruiser I had when I was in OZ, weighed 1.6 Tonnes unladen.

These rules are rules for disaster...obviously.

TWO traffic lanes or more going in the same direction ..............

Don't know where the confusion lies, the rules of the road in Thailand are simple.

Anything and everything is illegal the moment the man in brown realises it's a farang driving.

The penalty for breaking the rules is a small "contribution" to the policeman's welfare society. :o

Keep relying on the unreliable book that shows three lanes on the picture, also mentions " It is legal to overtaking", "Don't block traffice", "when the traffice", "geen light", "If this might mean that", "left side of the road whell you...", "at lease", "specifically designted", "the ordinally vehicle that it's total weight"

All this is only the one page we're looking at above.

I'll rely on the exam officer who said three lanes or more.
