KRABI: -- About a hundred macaques living in a mangrove near Baan Talane Pier in Krabi are flocking to nearby streets to get food from pedestrians packing the drive-way with a groups of monkeys and frequently blocking the road altogether.

“I travel to Koh Yao Noi, Phang Nga through this pier regularly and I can see the number of monkeys growing all the time. Sometimes, when there are tourists with a pack of chips or food vendors, the monkeys attack them to get food. Their number keeps increasing,” said a passenger of the pier.

No..no..no, that's the monthly meeting of the Krabi Chamber of Commerce.

Normally, I wouldn't post anything like this, but it's been a weird week...

My suggestion would be to advertise a big prize (and illegal) scooter race that happens to coincide with the presence of the monkeys.

One stone. 2 birds.

Edit:  Darn.  Now I have to go say some Hail Mary's and Acts of Contrition...
