The Irrigation Department (RID) has ordered all its officials at irrigation dams and reservoirs to monitor water levels and water flow closely in preparation for flooding as heavy rains are expected to continue throughout the week.

 

The order was given by its deputy director-general Mr Thongplew Kongchan as the Meteorological Department forecasts more heavy rains a over a the next 24 hours.

 

He said all officials at irrigation dams and reservoirs have been told to be on alert for flooding.
