lonewolf99
It is human damage to the local environment that causes flooding. Its been raining on a regular basis since the last ice age and laying concrete and tar all over a massive floodplain is only going to get you one thing. A very big swimming pool. For basically a thousand years all Thai houses were made of wood and built on stilts. There was and still is a very obvious reason for that. Thankfully the situation is better then 2011 so even though I always get nervous (ever since 2011) I doubt it will be on the same scale. We will probably stay dry again this time. Just lucky that this government does not mess with the dams in a bad way. I hope that the plans this government made for flooding gets worked out. Those of the previous government never materialized. I really wonder what has been done since 2011.. i doubt its really a lot. We got some new sluices around this area and I seen a lot more drainage pipes and pumps then before. I wonder how it is in other area's
