hotel recommendation on Koh samed

Many years ago I think I stayed at a hotel called silversands resort. Back then it was a low to mid range budget hotel. Unsure what its like now.

There was a cool beach bar that was really busy close by. Is this still a good option for staying on Koh samed? We are looking for a popular beach bar to be close by. 

 

Can you recommend anything else for late 20's crowd?
