As floods continue to wreak havoc on many provinces in the North, Northeast and Central, the Meteorological Department says monsoon rains are on declining trend.

 

It said today that monsoon are now on declining trend, but heavy to very heavy rains are still anticipated over the next 24 days in some areas in the North and the Southwest.

 

People in these areas are warned of possible dangers from heavy rains and accumulated rainwater.

Except for the next 24 days when there are expected "heavy to very heavy rains" with "possible dangers from accumulated rainwater". The headline is comforting but the small print rather unnerving. 100 baht each way.

Some parts of Bangkok have been affected by the rains and the high levels of the

river. I think that worse flooding will happen,  just call it a gut feeling.
