International permit for farangs

Featured Replies

Hi there

Is it possible to get an international driving permit issued here in Thailand on a Thai drivers license if you are a farang (I have a blue book house)? If so what department or authority does this? Thanks

Cheers

DM

DLT in Bangkok you need a 5 year Thai DL.

Yes but not all DLT offices issue them. As above, you need a full 5yr Thai license.

Cost was about 505 baht couple yrs back !!

A post advocating illegal activities has been removed:

3) You will not post about activities or links to websites containing such material that are illegal in Thailand. This includes but is not limited to: gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing, file sharing of pirated material, pyramid schemes, etc. Discussion of the above is permitted only as news items, but never as a "how to" topic.

What I read is that you can apply at all DLTs.

Just that some will have to send it to Bangkok or wherever?

So would take longer.
