ChouDoufu
1:29-1:36 cars moving to center to avoid parked car 1:38 moving to center again to avoid what looks to be a yellow car with white roof (taxi?) pulling out from a driveway. video is cut here...picks up at a different location at 1:40. was something edited out? and then just before the bump at 1:42, cars were moving to the center to avoid a parked motorcycle. Yet it appears that the Brits defiantly swerves to the right (not passing parked cars or motorbikes) in order to stop the Thai, thus unfortunatley hitting the Thai's car in the side Can't see cars moving to the right to avoid a parked motorcycle, have to watch again
crazygreg44
Sorry, the bumping part is around 1:40 (not before) it is hard to follow. And there appears a part before has been cut or edited. When the bumping occurs, the Brit is 2 feet over across the middle of the street. Deliberately?
ChouDoufu
interesting! something cut. at about 1:36 you see the brit car pulling out from behind to pass. then after the deleted section, the brit car is already ahead. does appear to be a moto on the side of the road at the point where they bump. see some screen grabs below
crazygreg44
unquestionably, this scenes are what started the road rage. Yet it seems the Thai thought he was in the right, because later he deliberately tried to stop the Brit. Seems he wanted to argue about the damage done to the Brio. It is like when to stubborn children meet each other: None of them is willing to give in. What happened next to when the Brit starts machete swinging and trying to drive over the Thai , is way to aggressive on the part of the Brit. We can see the Thai gets out of his car twice, by no means is he threatening the Brit, despite the old pensioner claimed this wrongly in front of police. ChouDoufu
cleverly edited out is what happened just after the brit began to pull out and pass. see in the second screen grab above, there's a 4-story building about 1/2 km ahead. the video cuts in again about 100m before the building. crazygreg44
The video has obviously been edited. The part missing is what happens when the Brio start to overtake and what happens in the middle of the overtaking. What we see in the video is the overtaking in it's last third, then another cut and the Brio is already in front of the Brit. Somebody is trying to hide the scenes that show the Thai recklessly trying to overtake, despite oncoming traffic. The scene when the Brit bulks and swerves across the street's middle and bumps into the Thai, has been left to show that the Brit, too, drove defiantly You are right, the buildings indicate some 50 meters have been passed since . . . !! And these parts are all missing . . . . . .

holy cow cm
No matter who did what and when, in the end it still remains the Brit pulled a weapon and will go down for it. Not self defense. And he also ran the Thai guy over. Not self defense. Even though the Thai guy is an idiot, and looks like he didn't like the Brit tail gaiting and passing, the Brit is going to be found guilty and black listed. Thai guy will not get much or if at all anything, but will push this to the end against the Brit.

Scouse123
It does as you rightly say. But if the Brit continues or is as arrogant and bad tempered as has been reported ( albeit second hand ) he will probably be foolish enough to take this on in the courts- which will be a very bad idea!Sent from my SM-A500F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

ChouDoufu
he could probably get a pass on the machete. he made menacing gestures while the thai guy was in his car, but once he got out, the brit backed off and (bravely) kept the car between them. but running the guy down.......hard to 'splain. colinneil
2 hours ago, crazygreg44 said: . .this is only half of what actually happened, and you missed the crucial start of the road rage. You all should check out the earlier scene when the bumping happens! If you take your time in watching it, you must admit that the Brit was bumping into the Thai, and not vice versa. The Brit even intentionally swerved to the right and hit the Thai's car! He just stubbornly tried to block the Thai from overtaking him. You can clearly see that the Brit is driving over across the median painted on the street, before bumping into the Thai. If you, like the Brit, claim to have lived in Thailand for 15 years, you should be used to the occasional Thai blandly overtaking you, keep in mind, don't argue and most of all, don't bump your car into his and later attack him with a machete and then try to drive over him. The fact that the Thai slowed down and tried to stop the Brit in his tracks, was due to him wanting to argue about the damage the Brit did to his car, and it doesn’t make the Thai guilty. Please stick to the facts and look again how the Brit defiantly swerved to the right across the median to deliberately push away the already overtaking Thai in his Honda Brio, because this is what started it all. The road rule is – don’t allow yourself to be tempted into a hot headed action, just let the s…e overtake you, and keep your temper. I did see all the video, i clearly stated the Thai was blocking the farang, prior to the blocking it appeared they were both in the wrong, i did not say that ok. Never the less nothing can excuse the stupid old bugger for his crazy actions.

Maybe above the money point to settle it even in this society now as everything is in the open eye..
