The Insanity Nightclub has moved from the old location to Sukhumvit 11. Is it still the same shithole it was before or has it improved? Also, with the old one you could get in free via V8 diner and have a look around then head right out because it's crap. Is there an option with the new location to do the same?

Good place to meet birds though (albeit Freelancers). Can be great fun if you go with a group of mates.

I remember besides the new location in Soi 11 there used to be many years ago another popular club, QHouse, QBar or something similar? As for food, can enjoy the Firehouse burgers - just in front.

To answer the OPs post directly instead of just bashing the place, the new location is a definite improvement on the old one. It has a new sound system and lighting setup that is truly world class. The interior is as good as any club you'd find in the West and truly cavernous. Most nights it is packed full - the impression I have is that it has higher footfall than the previous location. You cannot get in free via the V8 diner, which is located at the front entrance. 

 

It still has the same demographic: tourists, expats and freelancers. Most of the male customers are non-Thai, whilst most of the female customers are Thai. Don't try to speak Thai to the serving staff because many of them don't seem to be Thai.

 

If you didn't like the old Insanity you probably won't like the new one. If you liked the old one, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the new one. 

There isn't even ONE decent nightclub in Bangkok. The music scene AND the nightclub scene are the worst of any major city worldwide. And if you disagree with that, you clearly know nothing about nightclubs. Bangkok clubs are all about picking up h**kers, and that's the polar opposite of what real nightclubs are about. The fact that the scene is so dire in Bangkok says a lot about the ethos of the city, really...

Damn, oh well, the old one was a shithole but was worth strolling in when walking back home or when in serious need of hanging a leak when the bladder was full. Not sure I'd want to spend 300 baht entry just to see if the new one is better though lol.

Tru dat bro. They need to create some really good clubs specialising in R&B, hip hop & rap. None of this EDM/techo crap. And no, not Sugar club either.

I do disagree, sir, and I know plenty about nightclubs, having partied my way south from the US to Latin America, then Europe, followed by sadly short stints in Dubai and HK, and now here I am in this delightful city. Ah, yes, the boon of a trust fund!

I see where the problem is. You haven't been to any upscale place, as in hiso Thai. At the better clubs in RCA, e.g., Onyx, you will be hard pressed to find a body for sale, but, sheesh, what bodies!

 

And the newer Thong Lor clubs are even more exclusive. It is no point my naming them as you seem not to have the means to venture beyond plebeian establishments. But fire up YouTube for a slice of vicarious pleasure.

 

As for prostitutes in a club, why the obsession? If you don't care for them they will not care for you. They are there for customers and a firm no should suffice to dispel a notion that you are a prospective one. Unless they detect Freudian confusion in your eyes, which they won't will they?

"real nightclubs"? That's all a matter of opinion.  Nobody should be telling the world that their ideal type nightclub is the only real type of nightclub. 

I have a friend who screams at people for not listening to 'real music' if they don't listen to the Dave Matthews Band.

 

I'm curious; do your 'real nightclubs' play 'real music'?

Insanity is great.  The inside is nice and many many beautiful ladies.

Much better then the stuck up versions in other countries.

Come ro Bangkok  to enjoy the pleasures not found anywhere else in the world
