You are referencing something that has now been removed because of the potential for defamation / litigation and not related to the originally posted incorrect domain name which has subsequently been registered.

For those who may want to check up on owners of domain names that end in .com

 

Icann is the world issuer and all info on there is 100% correct and fully substantiated , but many today do hide their name from the ownership and pay a bit extra for the service

Local like .co.uk and .co.th are issued by that country and again you can check on the local look up sites

 

All information is in the public domain so usable, that is why it is there.

Actually you can go to most major domain registrars to determine the ownership of a domain in almost any of the the thousands of extensions that are available today. There are some cctld ( country domain names)and others  that are exceptions and you simply look up the cctld whois. 

Privacy(anonymity) is an option for some domain extensions but not too difficult to find out the real owner if you know what you are doing.

I didn't think privacy was allowed on .co.uk/.uk and quite a few other extensions,.in,.cn etc?

Other ways of finding domain owners, and you don't have to get a reply from an email you sent to determine if it has been received.

Why register the company and Thailand, and have bank accounts and credit card processing here at all?

The whole operation can easily be setup from the Cayman Islands with a Cayman Islands nominee company, online credit card processing facility, and corporate bank account. A .com website can be hosted somewhere in eastern Europe - as long as it looks pretty and has all the right colors and backdrops to look like a hotel booking site, the further the servers are from here the better.

You never setup physically in the same locations where you fleece.

If it’s a MasterCard, Visa card or American Express card then yes, you’re protected worldwide.

As mentioned, credit card protection from visa, mastercard is global 

 

I have had to use it a couple of times over the years and the bank staff were very helpful in organising a charge back

 

I don't know why people think buyer protection doesn't exist in Thailand, in my experience they don't think twice about reversing the charge if you get scammed online etc 

 

If they allowed unscrupulous merchants to rip off their card users they wouldn't get their % + foreign exchange fee so its in their best interests to make card payments safe and easy
