Hi everyone,

My mother has been living on Retirement visa in Thailand for 2 years. I am 28 years old. New Zealand residency/Russian passport. Am I eligible to apply for Dependant Visa or can she apply for this visa as a sponsor? I've read from one source if I'm under 50 I am eligible but can't find confirmation on an official website.  Under Temporary Non-Immigrant Visa there's an option for 90 day  (Non-Immigrant "O") and it costs 2000 thb. Are they the same things? I currently have visa-exempt Stamp, if I'm eligible - can I apply from Thailand?

Thanks in advance.

Lina

Others more knowledgeable will reply, but I would have thought the fact that you are 28 precludes any chance of this.

The maximum age for a child to get a dependent extension of stay at immigration is 20.

Some embassies and consulates will issue non-o visas to visit family for older children.
