clifric
The next meeting of the APPG is on 1 November and will be attended by representatives of pensioner groups from Australia and Canada. They are suggesting that partial up-rating is a step in the right direction. i.e. get up-rating on your present level not what is being paid in UK. They are doing this without consulting their membership and the majority of comments I have seen are against this proposal - full parity or UK Gov will just wait for us to die. You can leave comments for the APPG members to see on http://frozenbritishpensions.org/next-appg-meeting-wednesday-1-november-2017/#comment-961 - e-mails direct to MPs on the Group are usually responded with the standard MP's pro-forma I only deal with my own constituents. I know most of the UK pensioners resident in Thailand use accommodation addresses in UK to get the up-rating, winter fuel allowance etc but some of us were honest!!!!! Link to comment
