bluesofa
I remember reading the government saying they had increased the amount of solar power that is “to be generated” to 30% of the total generated nationally. There were recently a couple of letters in the newspaper we can’t mention regarding this. I wonder if anyone has any details of how much solar power is being generated at the moment, just to be able to compare it to the government’s pipe dream? BuaBS
Maybe created 30 % more solar power , def not 30 % of the total generated nationally. More like 0,3 %.
grollies
Everything you're asking is here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_power_in_Thailand Google.
bluesofa
Thanks for posting the Wiki link. Using that, this wikii page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renewable_energy_in_Thailand and another page https://ycharts.com/indicators/thailand_electricity_generation showing total electricity generation. Looking at 2014 which seems the last year all those figures were available, it looks like this to me: Total electricity generated 168TWatts Total renewable energy 12GWatts Solar energy 100MWatts That seems renewable energy was less than 1% of the total, and of that, solar looks like just a fraction of it. Maybe it’s wrong to compare different charts, or perhaps I’ve completely misunderstood all of it?
