rooster59
DNA confirms remains as those of missing "Director Oi" Image: Thai Rath A sibling has confirmed that skeletal remains found in a border area of Ubon Ratchathani are those of her sister Juthaporn Un-orn who has been missing since early July. A telephone call from the DNA lab to Maipong Un-orn confirmed the news that was expected after a skull, bones, a civil service uniform and a watch were found on Monday. Juthaporn - known as Director Oi - disappeared from Kanthoralak district where she was an education official, reported Thai Rath. The area where the remains were found is used by the military and is known as Hill 500 in the Emerald Triangle area of Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. Thaivisa understands that a military man and possibly others are believed to have been involved in her abduction and murder. The family conducted a desperate search for Juthaporn in conjunction with the police. At one point a 300,000 baht reward was offered for the finding of her remains, one million if she was found alive.
