Turn em inside out and they are god for 2 days use.

i) Normal, ii) back to front, iii) normal inside out, iv) back to front inside out. Four days.

I jest. Two changes a day is nearer the mark.

My wife's ten daughter costs me 100bht/day in lunch money for university (but I have no ongoing commitment, she ain't mine).

She works as a petrol pump attendant in the holidays to pay her own uni fees.

I you marry your wife , you make a commitment to her daughter too. You should setup a fund for your son's uni too if you suspect to kick the bucket before. What a sad life some people have.

Never have never will, at 19 they're on their own. Sink or swim.

Before I came on the scene she was about to leave school age 12 to work as a rice farmer, I already provided her with a free high school education, that's more than most get here. Never had any desire to pay for any kids to do degrees, they want it, they can pay for it themselves, it's good for them. You provide for them after they are adults, and they hate you for it.

My commitment is to my GF. Her daughter and two grandchildren don't carry my genes, why should I have a commitment to them as well?

Yes, some people live judgmental sad lives on TV.

A GF is not the same as a wife, different commitments.

You also told us that you would run away from your kids and make new ones, so excuse me for not listening to your advice.

If you don't want to read my posts, 'ignore' is easy to use.

gf = no commitment at all.

There are reasons, such as Australia's Centrelink rules which would cut my part pension by 10,000 baht a month if I marry. Not being an Australian citizen, she would get no pension when I die if married to me.

My GF is well provided for when I die, by both Thai and Australian wills. If that's not commitment, tell me what you think is.

I want my wife to die in poverty, remembering me as the  happiest (and wealthiest) time in her life and wishing I'd lived longer.

Leaving her with enough money to move in a young Thai guy the moment I'm gone, and wishing I'd died sooner ........ I think not.

You don't do much to present youself in good light ,mate.

Not exactly answering my question, is it?

When I die, my GF will probably be in her sixties. I doubt she'll be interested in any Thai guys.

How do you know your wife won't be cursing your memory when you leave her penniless?

Perhaps it's time to give the Blue Moon Coolers a rest.

I've known 3 old white guys with much younger wives. Those women had a new guy in the moment the old fellar died.

And yeah, they all wished the old fellah had died a lot sooner.

One mate in his 40s had a stroke, paralyzed, his gf had a new guy in the next room a week later, and he got to listen to them banging away. He's back in Hungary now living with his mum, using a Zimmer frame.

What's a Zimmer frame?   I remember zimmer  meaning room but your phrase is new for me.

After you're dead what difference does it make anyway?

Who cares??

They don't they are dead.

I bet they enjoyed their time when they lived.

People move on all over the world.  That is life most can figure this out.

a walker. had to look it up.

That's quite a leap from the German word.

On an English language forum such as TVF, I think his point would have been better served by looking up the  English definition.

You don't have to do anything as you aren't a mod.

This must have a record number of "off topics" in TV history.  You're not the only one that is surprised.

It should have been 41 pages on tips to live ( or survive ) in Thailand on 4000 B/month.

replace "to live ( or survive )" with "to vegetate".

I noted early on the "survivors" were mostly claimants of a err mostly lavish lifestyle, I wonder what attracted them to this topic?

Great advice.

Add fish sauce to the rice if you fancy a treat.
