Netizens asked not to share false images, video clips on royal cremation

The Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) has issued an announcement asking users of the social media not to share false images, video clips and information on the royal cremation ceremonies of the late King Rama IX.

Maj Gen Peerawat Saengthong, the Isoc spokesman, asked the netizens to check all images and video clips of the royal ceremonies they have received to confirm they are not false. If the materials are found to be false, they should not be shared further, he added.

The Isoc made this announcement after images and video clips of a royal ceremony for the collection of the ashes and relics of former supreme patriarch Somdej Phra Yannasangwon on Dec 17, 2015 were posted in the social media and claimed to the ceremony for the late King.
