Looking For Blu Tack

Featured Replies

I'm looking for some blu tack to hang some pictures on a concrete wall. I tried double sided tape, but it wasn't strong enough, so I thought I'd try good old blu tack, but it proving elusive to find.

If somebody could tell me a shop, location, that they have recently purchased some I would be much obliged.

Thanks...

Ratanaporn on Tapae Road or DK book store on Kotchasarn Rd should have it.

Can't find  the real 'Blu Tack' in Chiang Mai. It doesn't exist. You CAN easily find two alternatives, though. There is one that is made by the German company 'Uhu,' and one made by '3M.'

Neither are as strong as the original Blu Tack.  The 'Uhu' brand has the consistency of very soft, sticky, used chewing gum, but will hold up a sheet of paper on a wall. 3M actually makes two varieties; one that they call 'Super Strong' ...  but isn't.  It's just super hard and not particularly sticky. The other is about the same effectiveness rating as the soft Uhu.

I had to have my Blu Tack  brought in from the outside world by a very helpful forum member coming back from the outside world.

Have never heard of Blu Tack (but then have lived outside the outside world for most of my life) but have had good results using 3M double sided tape.  The off brands/old did not work well.

Ratnaporn has the 'industrial strength' as we as regular. It's opposite that newish supermarket near Bangkok Bank.

Personally if the pictures are framed I wouldn't trust blu tak.

You wont find Blu tack here in Thailand since it is a brand name, but UHU sells the exact same product that is not blue but white or gray.   Can  be found at most DYI stores or Friendship in Pattaya in the "glue" area

For some reason uploads are not working again today so no picture
