Since last week I've been unable to access my Nat West Online banking from my PC.  I normally use Chrome and have never had a problem.  I switched to IE and it worked once.  I then switched to Firefox and it worked once.  I get the Log In page but as soon as I press the button to Log In I get the white "This site can't be reached."  Nat West says it's a problem this end.  The App on my iPad works fine.  It looks as though it's been blocked.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Works fine for me on both my PC and with the Android app, all via 3BB.

Your problem will most likely be DNS related. Restart your PC and your modem/router.

If it still doesnt work then just wait a few days.

I tried it from my ToT fiber connection and it looks OK.

Security certificate from "The Royal Bank of Scotland Group"?

What happens if you try this shortcut:

I agree with others that the problem is with your internet connection/provider (which?) and/or DNS settings.

Try Google DNS:

Does this need UK SIM to work? My Google Play store says no devices available to install it on - I only have Thai SIMs?

It appears so:

To get a UK mobile number I got a friend to get a  free UK Giff Gaff sim for me (register it, again FREE,  put £10.00 credit on it) then post it to me in Thailand. To keep the Giff Gaff sim active you just need to use it at least once every six months. I just send a text to my Thai number.

Thanks for informing me about this, never heard of them before. On their web site it says they'll mail you a free SIM to Thailand within 3-5 business days!

That 'post to Thailand option' message has been on their web site for a long time now but:

A friend recently tried to get a sim mailed to him here in Thailand. He made three separate requests and even phoned them but never received one. They were vague over the phone and suggested, if possible, he used a UK address to order it so he then used his mates address in the UK and received the sim within two days.

The sim has to be registered and activated before it can be used and I guess that can no longer be done from Thailand so, I assume, that's why they won't send it.

I acquired a giff gaff sim a few years ago and have kept it active since I returned to Thailand. Because it's cheaper than using the swift transfer system from my UK bank, I recently applied for a pre paid credit card from the UK. As part of their security when activating the card part of the required info was sent via text message to my UK giff gaff number.... It worked a treat and I can now withdraw money direct from that credit card plus get a better than 'TT rate', with no delay that you get using Swift and save on bank charges into the bargain .

Yes, but only for setting up or re-installing. Once running the app works well connecting via my AIS sim mobile data. Also handles App updates.

Only issue I have with the app is that you can not set up a new payee. This has to be done via a PC plus using a card reader.

If this problem persists you could try a free VPN service as a last resort.

For the banking purpose the limited performance of the free VPNs should not be a problem.
