Hi everyone,

My company tried to solve this today, but unfortunately did not get through to the immigration officer who is processing my Non-B visa extension application.
In my passport the stamped in pick up date for the extension is November 17th. Unfortunately I fly to Phuket on November 16th. (I am residing in Bangkok and have to pick it up at Chaeng Watthana Immigration)
Does anyone know if I can pick it up two days prior that stamped in pick up date OR is it possible that someone else goes there with a power of attorney doc and my passport? (I could fly without my passport and just with ID card I think). However, I do not think the letter option will work , because the stamp in the passport clearly states that I have to go there in person on the 17th, but one of the other officers we were able to reach today said that it is possible...

Any feedback from someone who was/is in the same situation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!!

If the extension application has been approved you can get the extension stamp done before the report back date.

You can designate somebody to go to immigration and have the stamp done. My wife has done it for me but only needed my passport since we are married.

Thank you for the feedback. We gave them all documents last month on 20th October. At that time they approved all documents. (this is my second extension). But that the stamp in my passport says this:
"SUB. DIV .IMM. DIV 1.
APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF STAY IS UNDER CONSIDERATION OF THE POLICE DEPT
APPLICANT MUST CONTACT THE TEMPORARY PERMIT SECTION IN PERSON ON 17 NOV 2017

SIGNED ....
IMMIGRATION OFFICER
20 OCT 2017
"

The last times I just went there on the date in my passport, gave them my passport and got it a short moment later back with the new one year extension. But given this special situation now, I am actually reading this stamp a little more thorough and to me it sounds quite strong. I might send one of my employees there tomorrow and ask the Immigration Officer in person...

I think you reading more into the stamp than what it states.

You can check with them earlier than date and still get the extension stamp if the application has been approved.

The office accepting your documents does not mean anything has been approved. It is approved by a higher authority than those at the immigration office.

Amazing! So in worst case my employee will ask them in person about the current status of my application. Hopefully it got approved already... Thank you!
