My five year licence is up for renewal, but I have lost it, what is the best thing for me to do?

Go to the place where I last got it and take my motorbike licence with me which has my passport

number on it and see if they will renew it?

I believe you need to report it to the police first, they will give you a letter to confirm 'lost report' and you then take that to the LTO ...

When I lost my 2-yrs temp. license I just go to MoChit DLT showed passport & got new one, same 259 baht-ish IIRC

Lao authorities handed over 78 Thai nationals at the Fourth Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge border crossing between Chiang Khong and Huay Xai on 1 October, Thai immigration officials said. Seventy-six of those returned were linked to call-centre gang cases and illegal entry, while two others were accused of illegal entry alone. Initial checks later found that eight people in the group were wanted on outstanding Thai arrest warrants. The handover was handled by Chiang Saen Immigration officers, although it took place at the Chiang Khong-Huay Xai crossing in Chiang Rai province. Eight held on Thai warrants The operation was overseen by Pol Lt Gen Noppasil Phoosawat, commissioner of the Immigration Bureau; Pol Maj Gen Decho Sosuwannakul, commander of Immigration Division 5; and Pol Col Phattharapong Inwana, superintendent of Chiang Saen Immigration checkpoint. Pol Lt Col Kritwat Amnat, deputy superintendent at the checkpoint, led the officers assigned to coordinate the reception of the group. Officials checked the returnees' backgrounds and screened them under Thailand's National Referral Mechanism, which is used to identify possible victims of human trafficking. The initial assessment found no trafficking victims among the 78 people. Most of those questioned said they had been drawn in by social-media job advertisements promising monthly pay of 18,000 to 25,000 baht. Criminal-record checks found eight people - four men and four women - with active warrants in Thailand. The allegations include joint fraud, mule-account offences, involvement in a transnational criminal organisation, theft and evasion of military conscription. The eight were detained and sent on for legal action in the relevant jurisdictions. The remaining people had their details recorded before being allowed to return to their home provinces. Warning over overseas job adverts Thai officials warned the public not to be persuaded by apparently easy, high-paying jobs in neighbouring countries, saying such offers can expose people to criminal activity and serious criminal charges. Authorities have repeatedly highlighted the risks surrounding call-centre operations in the region, where recruits may find themselves involved in illegal activity even if they initially believe they are accepting legitimate employment. I last entered Thailand in the period between the cancellation of the TM.6 but before they started with the TDAC system, so I have neither. I need a Certificate of Residence and will go to CW next week. (Yes, I have an appointment already booked.) I'm sort of assuming that Immigration will look at the date of my entry stamp and won't demand a TM.6 or TDAC. But one should never assume anything. Has anyone had the experience of going for a COR but not having the proper entry documentation?

With all due respect, I’m not sure if you have become confused or not. I have to say that I think that it is impossible to enter Thailand on a Thai passport and then leave on a US passport. The entry and exit passports have to match. In the example that you quote, when she tries to leave on a US passport it won’t be allowed because as a US person, she has never entered. I think the actual situation is that she shows her Thai passport to the airline desk and then they ask, well how can you enter the USA, you don’t have a visa. She then shows her USA passport and they say, ok that’s fine. The airline is only interested in knowing that she can enter the US because otherwise they are responsible for returning her to Thailand. She then uses her Thai passport to exit Thailand by showing it to the IO. Once she reaches the US, she keeps her Thai passport in her bag and shows her US passport. Later, she would need to exit the US using her US passport so that the entry and exit passports match. When she reaches Thailand, it’s out with the Thai passport again. IMHO, that is the only way that it can work.
