PM: Perseverance and cooperation a formula for success

 

 

BANGKOK, 13 November 2017 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha believes perseverance and cooperation are the keys to success as he hails Thailand’s ranking in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business for 2018. 

In his televised speech this week, Gen Prayut stressed the importance of perseverance and cooperation, saying that if everyone works together with commitment and determination, they will succeed in all endeavors despite difficulties and obstacles. 

He went on to applaud the country’s success in improving its ranking in the ease of doing business index. Released last week, the World Bank’s ease of doing business report said Thailand is among the world’s top 10 reformers in improving the business climate and cited the Kingdom’s “immense progress,” thus moving the country up 22 places to 26th in the world, and 6th in Asia. 

The prime minister said a number of improvements have been made by the government. For instance, the government has eliminated the need to obtain a company seal, or the requirement for approval of the company’s regulations from the Labor Department. In addition, the government has implemented a risk-based system that is intended to select companies for a tax audit, adopt legislation to widen the scope of assets which can be used as collateral, and lower the property transfer tax rate.

Oh bore off you dishonest old fool. I don't run a business here, but I know several that do, and the legal / bureaucratic hurdles they must negotiate hardly correlate with what anyone would call straightforward.

If you want to take over a country just coorporate with a known crook to instigate unrest and persevere for years until you finally can jump in to "save" the country.

There is certainly plenty of perseverance on the part of the government in ensuring there is no election or any party political activity.

It is great doing business with Thailand if you do not live there.  Dealing with Thailand from the outside is much easier than from the inside.

Works every time, takes less than a day and not appellable. Of course, Article 44 can work against businesses as well as for businesses.

Economic  climate is low  Corruption is out of control  Where are all our big Thai smiles ?
