smily
I have lost my driving license for my own country and had not yet got a Thai license. I can only get my own country license back when I go home in person. How do I get a Thai Driving License without my own countries license. I do have a photocopy of this license if it is acceptable. nasanews
I think a photo copy will do otherwise you will go through the whole process for getting a new driving licence but I'm not sure. P.S. Go find out your self.
KhunBENQ
I would doubt that they are happy with a photocopy. Also only certain foreign licenses are accepted anyway. Which country is yours from? And as above: you could do the license from scratch. Not rocket science, just some swotting for the theory test. You want car license and/or motorbike license? I move this thread to the Motor forum from Koh Samui forum. Not much Ko Samui specific.

Do you also go to the same place that is mentioned near raja ferry for the renewals. Is it a similar process then except some additional tests? Best you start reading through the pinned topic: The process consists of getting paperwork ready (main hurdle is the certificate of residence). Then apply for the test. Depending on the location you might have to wait a substantial time for your appointment. All procedures regarding motor vehicles are handled by the "Department of Land Transport" (DLT). https://www.dlt.go.th/en/ (don't expect too much from their website) Raja ferry? Sounds like the Samui DLT office is near this place. I will check and add to the thread. I have added "Koh Samui" to the thread title.

Practice here. http://thaidriving.info/ The DLT is on lipa noi beach, near Raja ferry.

PoorSucker
Guide for Samui DLT here. http://www.onetripahead.net/thai-motorbike-license-samui/ One thing important, wear long pants, the lady in charge is very strict about dress code.
