PHUKET: A staffer at Phuket International Airport employed to assist elderly and disabled by operating wheelchairs for them escaped serious injuries when his car slammed into a stinky bean tree at speed early this morning (Nov 17).

Capt Natthee Pichitchainimitmet of Thalang Police was called to the scene of the accident, south of the airport, at 6:15am.

A bit confusing boys,  sorry....on reading the title, I first thought he slammed into a tree while driving a disabled persons cart in the airport premises !

I guess the name "Stinky Bean tree" is a lot sexier than Parkia if they had to name the innocent bystander tree at all.

Again, those darn jaywalking trees...

you gotta make the most of a good headline.... i often find that reading the headlines gives one clear interpretation, but then reading the article gives quite a different picture. I can't accept that this could be in any way a misunderstanding or not intended.
