Is it still possible to stay a short period with ID card only please?

If anyone knows the procedure most grateful.

They get a border pass that allows them to stay for 3 days.

It is a matter of going to an office near the border crossing to apply for the border pass. Just their ID card is needed for the application and a fee of about 50 baht.
