PM’s questions get over 100,000 responses

By The Nation

More than 100,000 people have responded to the six questions posed by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha regarding the country’s political future and the upcoming election, according to the Internal Security Operations Command.

More than half the responses came from the Northeast, followed by Bangkok, the North, and the South with 25,000, 16,000, and 11,000 respectively.

Nakhon Ratchasima province brought the most responses with some 18,000 offering their opinion, followed by Bangkok.

A grand success! How many of that 100,000 were civil servants ordered to go and villagers strong-armed by village headmen coerced into going themselves by the junta? Subtract that from the above amount and you get roughly 7.

100,000 out of 40 million adult population = 1/4 of 1%. Abundant lack of interest ought tell the PM something....like nobody listens or cares about what he says.

Obviously the electorate is much more switched on than the government.

Pretty sure the Internal Security Operations Command or the attitude adjustment club soured those who would like to comment.  Many stated before that they did not have the time.  The questions serve the junta and not the common Thai.

Last week, while on my way home, a couple of the puchais in the neighborhood called me over. They were sitting around the som tam stand down the soi having a drink. As they’re older, more mellow types you can actually socialize without fear of drunken, convoluted drama.

Someone had a small TV set up on one of the stools and they were watching broadcast television. About ten minutes later Coup TV came on and a grainy General Happiness appeared on the screen. In a slow, reflexive, and almost unconscious move (something like scratching an itch), one of the guys reached over and switched the TV off. Everyone just turned away and conversation continued.

No need to ask if anyone had been down to the Ministry of Truth to answer questions.

I wonder in which context 'Don't have the time' was used: Don't have the time as in 'I am too busy' or don't have the time as in 'I am not wasting mine on this Mickey Mouse bullcrap'...?

even deeper than that; the general feeling of 'this bunch has overstayed their welcome' is growing and becoming more vocal; their legacy will be leaving behind some remarkably shallow laws

If 1.600 generals have an extended family circle of 62.5 dependent members, the figure may be true.

It think it was I do not have time to tell you what I really think then spend a day in a locked room and receiving attitude adjustment lecture.  Think that is what they meant.
