Have used single entry non b on my indian passport. extension of stay based on work valid till aug 2018, wp valid till around that time. in india for christmas holidays. do i need visa to re-enter Los? Any help appreciated.

You need to get a re -entry permit to keep your extension of stay valid when you re-enter the country.

The fee for a single re-entry permit is 1000 baht and a multiple is 3800 baht.

They would not mention it when you left country.

Are you sure you don-t have one in your passport that was done when your extension was issued.

If you are out of the country and don't have a re-entry permit you need to get a new non-b visa to enter the country and then a new extension of stay.

Your extension of stay is now dead, but your work permit is still valid. Although you have a valid work permit, you are not supposed to work without a valid non immigrant visa. You should apply for a new single entry Non B in India, eventually extending it again within Thailand.

You shouldn't, but you will need to talk to VFS being as you are in a slightly unusual situation.

Your employer may be somewhat miffed that they will have to go through the rigmarole of getting you a new extension if you killed the last one by leaving the country without a re-entry permit.

By the way, Thaivisa is an English language forum, text-talk / multi-abbreviations is not "English" and is difficult to read, it's not like we restrict your post length.

I think you will need all the same paper work including a copy of your work permit. They are very strict on the requirement at the embassy and consulates in India.

You get a re-entry permit from immigration before leaving Thailand, do check your current passport to verify you don't have one (it's a half-page stamp so pretty obvious), many employers buy them by default.

Trying to switch to your Portuguese passport will likely cause much pain.

Get your new Indian passport and go to your local VFS office with everything you have (including your old passport) and talk to them. My dealings with VFS in India have always been positive, even phoning the consulate whilst I was there to clarify some issues, this was Bangalore but Delhi were equally effective.

Immigration issues the re-entry permit.

It is a little late you use it. It might made things easier if you had used it before.

The problem is that your work permit was issued using your Indian passport. It would require applying for a new one using with the Portuguese passport.

Nope. The land border office just stamped me out into Cambodia.

The P passport is controversial. The guy who helped me lots to get it for fun long dead. Havent touched it.  Might have expired.Jus thought if life wud be better to use it.
