Weapons suspect faces court as police deny false flag operation

Wattana Sapwichian, 53, who has been linked to a large cache of military weapons reportedly found in Chachoengsao’s Bang Nam Priao district last week, will be brought to court as authorities apply for his first detention period on Thursday, deputy national police chief Pol General Srivara Ransibhramanakul said on Monday.

In the ultimate burger showdown, Bangkok’s 25 Degrees, a high-end American burger restaurant with three outposts in the states, won the title of the “Best American Burger in Thailand” from the U.S. Embassy on Friday.

Patong Municipality announces the reopening of the waterfall in the heart

Did you know there was a waterfall right in the middle of Patong? You'll be able to visit it again soon after land was bought by the Municipality to reclaim the land and re-generate the natural flow of the Wang Kee Aon waterfall. HM King Rama 9 visited there in 1959.

Patong Mayor, Chalermluck Kebsup, says that the Wang Kee Aon waterfall in the middle of Patong used to be the main attraction in Patong and HRH King Bhumibol Adulyadej 9 also paid a visit in 1959, which was an important early part of putting Patong on the domestic map for Thailand tourism.

Lifting of political ban still not appropriate in current circumstances: NCPO sec-gen

A weapon cache that has been found in Chachoengsao is cited a s a reason by the NCPO not lift the political ban.

 

After considering the overall situation, and not just the recent discovery of war weapons, it was not deemed appropriate to lift the ban on political activities, the secretary-general of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) said on Monday.

MRT Attack: Man swings belt at fellow passenger

Plan is afoot to increase price of gasohol 91 to the same level with gasohol 95

The Energy Business Department will propose Energy Minister Siri Jirapongphan to increase the retail price of gasohol 91 to the same level as the gasohol 95 so that more motorists will switch to gasohol 95 and gasohol 91 will eventually be phased out.
