I think extrapolation from a reasonably sized sample is sufficient.

But it's up to you, if you don't like my stories, easy enough to put me on ignore.

Nah far more fun to hail you out when I think you're embellishing, exaggerating or just plain bullshitting to make your point

I'm presuming it's to verify his address in Thailand , & if it is I don't know why they just don't go to Immigration & get a Certificate of Residence

Yellow book, and/or letter of address from Immigration do the job. Honda was happy with the Yellow book and my Driver's license.

Yep, happened to me as well. After both got together ( as usual) they needed somebody to blame their non functioning relationship for. It's better to act like the three Chinese monkeys.

There should be four monkeys; do no evil, the one that covers its crotch.

Exceptions do not make a rule, isn't it?

Neither do you, apparently. I would say, " Choose a partner equal in age, economic, education and social status" is the exception, especially in Southeast Asia. I would prefer a younger, richer, hi-so  who loved me.

Everything. Wake up, about dozen incurable diseases if not more. Perhaps as many half that will literally kill you. A knocking shop on every corner, as well as a vd clinic. This country has an excellent pro active public health care system - for a developing nation.

90% of the persons working in the sex trade are there bc of some overwhelming life changing event that has forced them into a life of having sex with unattractive strangers for small money.

Despite spending so much time in brothels you know nothing of the company you keep or the risks you face. Women in whorehouses are consigned to the fact they are diseased bags of sh** , accept their role and indignity and they have no problem spreading that risk to you. By walking into a brothel, implicit risk. The woman could have hiv and have no compunction having sex with you. I've heard women literally say to me that when they made the choice, it was suicide and they knew it worse yet, so did their families yet sent them on anyway.

Add to this all the old men that can't get a boner without 200mg of Viagra and not wearing a condom, it's a recipe for disaster. Then there's all the drunk young men and the pornographers sans condoms. You're all having sex with the same women or worse.

Finally, sex is messy. Quote all the stats you like about hiv and a myriad of other diseases but I'm really glad I don't have any of them. Not even herpes. What's a little herpes right? Why wear a condom, you're 65 and going to die in twenty years anyway.

Visiting <deleted>houses and pubs featuring girls is a soulless, life sucking affair. The pleasantries so stupid, banal and superficial. Only the most needy man enjoys such blather after being her a few years, let alone decades. The sex is often crap and it's proffered in a very pedestrian way.

What did you catch?

Moral of the story: Never buy land in Thailand (you don’t own it), never get married (girlfriend only) keep the bulk of your assets hidden in a safe country, and don’t show off money or assets (keep a low or no profile).

That's difficult to do if you have a super ego and lots of money to throw around. A guy who is a little bit rich in Britain would be able to act & appear super rich in Thailand ( the exchange rate makes it so). So it makes those with super ego think it's their turn to show off their wealth which they would have difficulties to do in their home country because everything is so expensive in their home country.

That wonderful feeling when a woman 30 years younger than you keep saying she loves you, also touching you where you feel good.

Yeah but those guys are mugs.

No woman genuinely loves a man 30 years her senior.

She loves his money or whatever else he can give her in the way of tangible value but she doesn't love him.

If he's smart enough to know that, great; if not, he's a mug

I seriously question the veracity of 85-90% of what you post You have a penchant for fabricating bullshit anecdotes to lend weight to your ridiculous arguments (one or two of which, admittedly, are very amusing). 30+ million women in Thailand  but somehow, you've managed to determine that "No woman genuinely loves a man 30 years her senior" ????

What do you mean they did everything by the book?

They took advantage of a legal loophole to circumvent laws preventing foreigners owning land in the Kingdom.

Fair enough, their methodology wasn't illegal but they used the letter of the law to defeat its spirit.

Did they deserve to lose their assets? No, of course not but they knew full well going in that the intention was to pull one over on the law using chicanery.

It's been made very clear that farangs trying to get around the law by buying land via companies face having their cornflakes pissed on in the most visible manner.

And rightly so.

The Thais have made as many mistakes as any country, but not allowing foreigners to buy land is not one.

My home country is being bought up by rich foreigners distorting land prices, rents etc and citizens are suffering for it.

You used to like 'struck a nerve did I?  But No! I was just wondering how, if MaeJo can't know what goes on in 250 houses in his Moo Ban, how can you know but goes on with 30 million women in Thailand. Besides, as I said when you were someone else, if the girl loves me or doesn't love me, I really don't care.

Maybe you think you appear "clever" by dropping hints about some other poster but you don't - you just look a bit stalker-y and weird but hey-ho, I don't care and nor does anyone else.

Back on topic - you say you don't care if the girl loves you or not but I think you're bullshitting.

Trying to sound tough and detached when you're obviously seriously butthurt by my comment

Anyway, whatever you need to tell yourself to get through, matey

Made me think of an ex GF that dumped me. I didn't mind her not being around as she was a rotten GF, but I missed her parents as they were lovely.

Many countries have similar laws to Poland re matrimonial property. In New Zealand just live together 2 or 3 years and the ex is entitled to half.

I solved that one by refusing to live with an NZ woman.

Hey! I have already been through 2 Divorces myself already. People ask me why I am still working with all the money I made and I have to tell them the truth and tell them I am saving up for my next Divorce. (Ha!Ha!Ha!)

If I could change anything now from back than and my wish would come true, then I would wish I was Gay, as back then they didn't have Divorce Laws for them. (Ha!Ha!Ha!) But they soon will in Australia. Maybe NZ is next?

Look!! you wish to justify a usufruct? again up to you - for me it offers nothing!! a suitcase is really the way I operate, In my current situation all in Thailand belongs to my wife and children it is theirs. Do you understand? This means I do not have to worry about anything!! I have nothing to lose except their love for me. I have no wish to own anything. My life is not about ownership or money, it is about making those I love feel confident and happy.

I am sorry if I offended you. I believe what you say.

I just find it difficult understanding as I never met a Man in my life before who maybe came home and maybe found his wife sleeping with her past boyfriend from many years ago, then smile at her, hand her the cars keys and house keys, and walk away leaving everything to her except his suitcase with a smile on his face and a wish of good luck to her and this Mans New Kids, that you will still have to pay Child Support until you are Old Grey. Or Older and Grey depending where you are now.

Never!

So Yes! This is very difficult for me, or anyone else to understand. Not that you should care because I don't.

Yeah! Great Life if you want to live with your Mom and Dad all your life. Paid Sex? Well I think every Man should try it once. But for a Life Time??? Girlfriends? Yeah! Sure! If you can find one who never wants toget married. Or okay until she gets Pregnant. That explains my first failed marriage.

In My Book No Man is an Island! You have to be Married to something! Either it is your job, which these days don't last long either. The Church, which I am not so sure what happens behind closed doors. Or a Woman or another Man. and okay, LadyBoy to if that is your cup of Tea.

Which one would you choose?

LOL that's a mighty depressing view, mate

I wouldn't choose any of them because I don't think one has to married to anything.

I learned the hard way that the quickest way to lose a friend is to try and help with their personal problems.

Perhaps strangely, I'm the opposite. If I have a problem, I'd appreciate a friend that cared enough to try and help.

Strange old world, in'it.

I agree with you totally. That is what friends are for, in my book. The True Ones anyway!

But I think the quickest way to lose a Friend is to lend him a lot of money. Either Give It, or Don't Give It! But never lend It!

Try it once? Where's the difference in paying money to a prostitute and having a prostitute as a wife who always wants to get paid for everything?

You blame your wife's pregnancy for the failure? Of course wouldn't have happened without it, wouldn't it?

And to your book, it';s neither the bible and doesn't sound like the Koran. Liking a job is something that i understand, but married to a job is a sort of perverted. Let's leave the church out here, too many kids were molested while I'm typing here. Two of my ex-neighbors back home were victims of the Roman Catholic Child Molesters.

I married my wife because we loved each other and we still do. But you make it sound like everybody has to be married no matter to a woman, somebody from the same gender, or a ladyboy?

You can't make this up, can you?
