Video: Monk lashes out on train as "Indian" racial insults ring out

A video is doing the rounds of Thai social media after a group of monks become unhappy at being pointed at.

There were claims that they were on drugs as they lounged about a carriage.

One monk steps forward and is pushed by a man who Tnews said wanted to check something.

Then the monk aims two punches at him in retaliation before the man in the cap gets off.

Monks on the train using foul language claim that the man in the cap is a "bloody khaek".

"Khaek" is an abusive term usually used by Thais in a rude manner to refer to people from the Indian sub-continent.

The word also is politely used to mean 'guest'.

The clip is getting a lot of attention online after it was given the caption "Monk Loses It" amid suggestions that the men in robes were high on drugs.

These 'bad monk' videos are great.

It beats watching repeats of 'The Simpsons' ! :cheesy: :cheesy:

I wonder which of the two have more episodes though?

Disgusting saffron-clad riff-raff using abusive (and slurred) speech and behaving like hooligans. It seems there nowadays are reports on this disgraceful human detritus in the news every other day. I have long ago discarded the courtesy of wai'ing monks, simply because I can never be certain whether I am standing before a decent human being or a drugged-out, corrupted thug who doesn't deserve my respect.

These monks are probably mass murderers, extortionists, or corrupt politicians spending the obligatory week in the robes to be resolved of all sin.

Do as I say but not as I do.

respect the robe

not the man

Do all those years of karma and meditation, elevating one above anger

and bad thoughts and deeds are out of the window one a monk gets

provoked....

They seem to have forgotten that Buddha was also a bloody khaek too...

Monk or no monk, take a swing at me and you're going down fast and hard.

the only reason they join is that they never have to work again , and people give them millions, so they can carry  on doing this, got to be the most corrupt lot out of them all,

the sound of two monks yelling

The sound of Thainess.

Was a song, wasn't?

I have scant respect for most monks in Thailand.

Primary thing about Monk-hood is to control the emotions.

Hope police should search their premises and find out the snakes they are raising.

Sounds like mock monks.

Surely a new sense in Thai language...:partytime2:

The closest thing you'll find to an actual monk MIGHT be in the mountain or forrest temples.  Maybe.  But overall, Thai "Buddhism" is so far from what Buddha taught that it's ridiculous.

Exactly my opinion too. If you want to play big boy games expect the consequences. Monks.........He is no more a Monk than I am the Queen of Sheba.

Clearly self defence, deport the Indian aggressor.

Maybe he was too slow offering up his seat to the VIP monk.

Thailands monks at their finest - the lot of them should be kicked out of the temples and forced to do some real work for a change instead of sponging the life and money out of the poor farmers and such that donate to these filth to support their criminal behaviour.

Oooooo...

" stick and stone will break your bones but words will never hurt you "  guess that isn't being taught in Thai Monkhood?  Always said Thais are a ticking bomb foreigner say the wrong thing and bang they go off.
