webfact Posted December 14, 2017 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Pattaya taxi driver arrested for driving off with Korean's luggage Picture: INN Tourist police yesterday announced the quick arrest of a 52 year old Pattaya taxi driver who made off with a Korean couple's luggage as they bargained a taxi fare from the resort to Suvarnabhumi. The couple were making the journey from the Bang Jak gas station in North Pattaya and had loaded up their belongings but not yet fixed the price, reported INN. But before they had a chance to get in the vehicle Seksan Muthuta drove off. He was arrested within a day with nine items belonging to the Koreans including 2 million won, 29,910 baht, passports, a black women's bag and an iPad. All the stolen items were returned to the Korean tourists yeaterday and Seksan was charged with theft in the hours of darkness using a conveyance in pursuit of the crime. That's 4 years then. Under the cover of darkness doubles the 1 year for theft and using a conveyance to commit a crime, i.e. the taxi, doubles it again.
