"Moderate" Islam and gay sex in Indonesia

Featured Replies

We read in the Jakarta Post the headline "Indonesian court rejects petition to outlaw premerital (sic), gay sex".

Sounds good, right? That is until we look into the details: four out of nine judges were in favour of banning gay and premarital sex. It was a close thing. It could just be a matter of time before the rest of Indonesia becomes like Aceh with public floggings for gay men.
