Hi guys

Quick question ref the day trip to Cambodia. I have been in Thailand now for around 7 weeks, came on the normal 30 day stamp at BKK and went to Jontien to get an extra 30 days. Due to being on stand by with work, I want/need to stay longer in Thailand. I am married to a Thai lady but don't have the (0) MEV any more,  it expired last year.

Can you get 30 days at a border run or will it be 15 days and how many times can I do this please?

If I do this land crossing can I go back to immigration and get another 30 days?

If I go to Laos, can I get a TO Visa?

Thank you

You can get a new one at Savannakhet - single-entry 2000 Baht (90 days) or ME 5000 Baht.  Single-entry only also available at Vientiane.  Just Marriage Cert plus signed-copies Wife's ID and Housebook needed.

30-days - twice per calendar-year at a land-border.  If Cambodia - avoid the Poipet/Aranya crossing, which is the only one that will give you any grief - but expect some scamming on your VOA for the Cambodian-side.

Yes.

Yes (assume you mean TR = Tourist Visa) - or a Non-O.  At Vientiane, a TR Visa doesn't require a bunch of paperwork - but it does at Savannakhet (bank-statement, flight-out, rental/hotel booking).

Depends on the immigration office. I went to Surat Thani after a 30 day exempt to get 60 days. Woman told me, do the 30 day extension first, then come back for another 60. Did that, no problem.  There are immigration offices who only extend once.

Apply for this extension Early - can do it up to a week before your existing permit-of-stay expires.  That way, if they ask for any docs you don't have (obscure, irrelevant landlord-docs, for instance), you have time to react and attempt to get them - or the time to plan a trip to Savanakhet for a ME-Non-O Visa.
