Let them investigate and follow the truth whatever it is, but the theory that he murdered his wife because she was nagging about buying a better house doesn't seem likely. More generally, a threatened divorce might be a possibility. That's more like the kind of thing that can lead to murder, which is why I was wondering about the house sale, often linked to divorces.

They obviously weren't saints but their characters are not on trial. It seems they did both good and bad things in life like pretty much everyone, but in their case on a big public stage.

That was just light hearted speculation on my part. About as valid as Linda Frum saying it must be a double murder because she liked the couple. What is known is that police told reporters that one of the people were killed in a different part of the house from the hangings. That was a couple of days into the investigation. I think there must be some basic evidence to back that up other wise it wouldn't have been said. As for the house being for sale they had a house already under construction closer to downtown.

As always in a big murder case like this they should start to investigate the relatives first , maybe they were cut out of the will , maybe the old man did not want to leave them any money .   I don't believe it was a stranger that killed them .

Do you have information that the police don't? Didn't think so. I'll go with the police theorey that the husband killed the wife then himself. People seem to have problems believing in conclusions based on evidence. Little wonder someone like Trump can get elected.

I wonder if these were the folks that made the Canadian viagra.
Nope. Just many many (and only) generic drugs, that's why the big drug companies absolutely hate Apotex. Why are drug prices lower in Canada among most Western countries? Answer: Apotex.

Why would you say Canaidian drug prices are lower? Not true and a main reason was Apotex.

"But generic drugs are a different story. This year, a PMPRB report concluded Canada’s generic drug prices are too high — 19 to 31 per cent above prices in Europe, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. With generic prescription drug sales totalling $5.4 billion annually, experts estimate we are overpaying by more than $1 billion a year."

http://nationalpost.com/news/canada/this-is-why-canada-has-the-second-highest-medication-costs-in-the-world

"For example, Canadian generic drug manufacturer Apotex sells the anti-depressant venlafaxine to the U.S. for half the price it does here. Blood pressure medication amlodipine is bought by New Zealand for 10 per cent of the average price the provinces pay."

The New York Post also reports that the Shermans’ attorney had filed a motion the day before to halt an investigation by the Canadian government that Sherman had possibly violated political lobbying rules when he and his wife hosted a high-ticket fundraiser at their home for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau two years ago.

"Though fabulously wealthy, the couple didn’t live like billionaires. They flew economy. Mr. Sherman drove a beat-up old car. And although they owned a grand house with a tennis court and two pools, it was modest compared with many even on their tree-lined, country-style street in the city’s north end.

The one way they showed their wealth was philanthropy.

The couple gave hundreds of millions of dollars to hospitalsuniversities, political parties and charities. They were fixtures of Toronto’s fund-raising event circuit. Mrs. Sherman in particular was known as someone who didn’t like to say no to a call for help."

Sounds like my kind of guy and may they RIP. Certainly sounds like murder to me
