I need a few of those cut down trees along Sukhumvit brought round to my condo, get a nice fire going, freezing me nuts off here.

Still the PM promised us cooler weather and as we all know he is a man of his word.

Damn, they were right with their prediction for the week - then again not that hard for the shortest days of the year ...

Up north it's windy, beautiful day, not a single cloud, 9 degree morning, 20 now (at 1300), expected max. not much more than 21 if at all ... chilly indeed & would be pretty uncomfortable indoors already as without some means of heating we'd be talking of just maybe 13 up to 18 or 19 C tops.

14.8C . . . that's bleedin' tropical, after our last night at 9C. Two blankets, pyjamas and bed socks . . . the pair of us look like sommat of Corrie.

And this kind of weather brings out two of the worst kinds of 'farangs' in Bangkok. The ones who put on too many clothes and still complain of being cold. And the ones who brag to locals about how this kind of weather is nothing compared to where they come from. Oh, there's also number 3 - the newbie 'farang' who takes offence to you saying that you're loving the cooler weather. Like it's bashing Thailand and it's usually hot climate.

Weird that it is cooler in Bangkok than about 700 km north . This morning it was 16 C , afternoon 23,5 max ( in the shadow) . But there is some wind , which is very uncommon here.

I had to attend a hospital in Kalasin Province at dawn on Tuesday and the small lake outside started 'steaming' because the air was colder than the water. The nurses all rushed out to photograph it as they'd never seem something like that before

I find it a bit strange to see tourists in Pattaya walking around half naked when it's windy and 15 degrees. The rest uf us "normal" people wear long pants and a jacket.

It's a strange mix but maybe the Russians and Scandinavians feels it summertime compared to what they are used to at home.

I am freezing and I am not afraid to admit it . So socks and pants for me thanks.

Ha ha.  Reminds me of the steve martin movie from the 90s.  LA Story.  "55 degrees" (F) and it was big news and they interviewed people saying they brought the pets inside, huddled on the couch to survive.

Some kids back home in Canada wear short pants all winter.

Global warming!

Gimme a break. A local weather event has NOTHING to do or even closely related to global climate:excl:
