"Big Joke" says thirty Ugandan women selling sex in Thailand to be deported

Police announced in Pattaya that 30 Ugandan women had been arrested as part of a crime sweep to rid the country of people breaking the law under the guise of being tourists.

 

The arrests were part of a crackdown by deputy tourist police commissioner Surachet Hakpan, known affectionately as 'Big Joke' in the Thai media.

 

It was not clear from the Sanook article if any or all of the Ugandans were working the streets of Pattaya or other areas of Thailand.

 

Though Surachet did say that some alleged they were victims of human trafficking - claims that would be further investigated.

 

The Ugandans were said to be all on overstay and would be deported.

 

Also announced at tourist police HQ in Pattaya on Tuesday were the resolution of two other cases - the arrest of a gang of Malaysian call center crooks and a bunch of 'Romance Scammers' responsible for 10 million baht in fraud.

 

No further details were given on those cases.

I feel sorry for these girls..........they paid their tea money to a fake foreign cop in Pattaya and he promised them protection.

That's right, only Thais can sell sex. It's their country after all, to be fair.

and the Ugandan women - all foreigners; no Thai miscreants except the arresting officers.  Thailand should wake up to the fact that there would be no crime here if there were no foreigners... or police.

They say it is, but they don't test them. HIV in Africa is determined by symptoms only, which proves nothing. It's propaganda.
