They come in 1.6lt and 2.1lt plastic screw top containers. On them says Toyota oil Fully Syn.

I used to use Semi Syn on the last Spivo. They came again in plastic containers 1.5lt a 1.1lt. They said Toyo Semi Syn. I can read.

I will when I do the next service keep the bill and also a Can? will take a snap and post them. You could of cause go into Toyo and check their prices.

Just post a scan of your service receipt and show us the figures, l do not believe you had a full service with all the filters and 8 ltrs of syn oil for a tad over 3000bht...

Believe what you want I have told you what it cost. And I stand by it.

Might be time to change your service place and try another that doesn't put copy part on your Limo.

Have put a snap of local Toyo in K.P.Phet. How does that compare to your B/? service centre. Sorry don't have a service Receipt. You'll just have to wait till my next service. Or if you cant wait that long go into your local Toyo and ask.

How frequently do engines really fail from changing oil less frequently? Long before such catestrophic failures dozens of other components will wear out! And if you throw tons of money year after year fixing those other smaller issues, you've paid out too much to worry about engine failure.

Sent lovingly from my S8.

Common causes of engines failure are overheating and component failure (valves, rings, bearing etc).  Component failure can be substantially affected by lubrication, or lack of.  So oil quality is important as the engine accumulated miles.  Admittedly many car buyers do not keep the car long enough to find out but nothing lasts forever.

Have found my service receipt. Printer playing up but have taken snaps of same. Notice the date KM price. You will have to get it translated but it's all there. Now maybe you'll believe peeps when they know more than you do.

I did make a slight cost bugger up but you can see the total. That does include the 387bt discount as it's a new lump.

I have to say that I would have agreed with TA's prices for Fully Synthetic oil ... based on what I have paid in the past ... unfortunately my Ford bill don't give a price for the oil as I have paid up front for 63 months services. However I do remember that the cost of Fully Synthetic oil for the 3Ltr V-Cross that we had was around 3200thb and I thought that held a little under  6ltrs

Yes, you bill says synthetic ...however I don't think it is Fully Synthetic ... at 245thb/Ltr that seems to me a synthetic blend.

If the L stands as I think it does for Ltr ...Does the G stands for Gallon? If so seems that the oil is more expensive bought by the gallon. So your engine holds around 6Ltrs.

If the oil is Fully Synthetic it is at a very good price...

However having now found the amount we paid for an extra oil change on the Fiesta ...the 4Ltr price was 1100thb .... was Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 ... Ford- Castrol Magnatec Professional A5 5W-30 is a fully synthetic lubricant made with Ford to meet their demanding fuel economy targets, helping you drive more miles.

Guess your oil was Fully Synthetic ... from confused ...................

I don't read Thai well enough to tell what all the listing are. But the G/L said that L&G was oil about as good as it got. I think the 460bt is the new air con: filter what the 20bt was and the 200bt was haven't a clue except that the 200bt might be the Oil filter.

I can assure you it does hold 8lt as I asked the mechanic how much it held also the large carton had 6lt on it 1lt on the small ones. They also said Toyo Fully Syn on them.

It might be that Toyo have been getting some oil company to supply them with it like Fords., Then being able to sell it cheap. They didn't have any well known make on them. Would have thought that if it said Fully Syn then it was. The previous oil said semi Syn that was recommended for the 3lt engine, I used before. The price for that service was of cause much cheaper.

Will try in the next few days to get a snap of oil can? but Toyo say that snaps are not allowed. Managed to get the one of their service bay during a lunch hour.

Think the 15 is 15% as I get a discount as it's a new lump. Whatever it still a lot cheaper that I first entered that was 3.320 final bill was 2.350bt.

The 15% More than likely equates to the 387 on the final bit.

What does one have to do to convince people that they are correct.

First off you have to put Bills in, now it seems that Toyota tell lies about their motor oil. My Buddha you are a load of doubters on TV.

Toyo is a vast company so will be able to Buy at very good prices. Then pass it on to us normal peeps. Whatever I'm very pleased with their product. Whether it's made in China don't care. It says Full Syn + Toyota and that's good enough for me.

Hate paying for a just name. Ford use Castrol oil now please tell me that's not up to scratch.

No but others have or intimated same. But you wouldn't believe me when I said what I paid for my Service at Toyo.

Could no doubt get a few bob off using another garage but not interested in second rate places. As I have stated before Toyo K.P.Phet is as cheap as chips so why change.

Will reiterate I also get Free coffee cold drinks now food + a Free valet included in the price.

I got Mobil  4 stroke (not synth)  for 90 or 100 thb a bottle in a gas station in phayoyothin rd before

I can't prove if it was fake or not but probably a good chance it was just cheap oil repackaged

Wouldn't be surprised if some shops  are selling semi as full synthetic or even old dinosaur oil as semi or cheap unbranded oil in premium packaging...

Nothing they might do  here would surprise me anymore

So where does the money come from to pay for you to relax, eat and drink...I reckon it comes from you as nothing is free in this life..

But, I cannot find anything that says your ride engine is designed to use syn oil, seems semi is the norm....But if you get Syn for near the same price as semi then you are on a winner...

When I first went into Toyo with the new lump for it's first 10th service 5th for me they showed me a paper from Toyo saying the 2.8 is recommended to use Full Syn. But could have semi if I wanted.

I thought it was a con with them trying to get a few more bob out of me. But the G/L read it and said it was correct. They also said that for better results use premium diesel.

Ok I went along with it, when I got the price at the end must say surprised how cheap it was. So will continue to use Full Syn and shell V power and the likes. If the latter helps Buddha only knows but I do know that I'm getting 6.3 lt = 100 km on a run.

Ok I do pay for it in the long run but what would I save by going to your cheapo place and get nothing. Might get a broken leg tripping over the hundreds of part warn out tires that are scattered all over the place. If it's anything like our one.

Since you already know everything, why do you even bother using the Internet? You could make your own network where the facts of reality wouldn't get in your way....

No I require a snap of your place to compare, you wanted one on my service bill and you got it. For your info I have never use your place and never would, one look is enough for me. Sorry no snap no more comment.
