Trump says he could beat Oprah Winfrey in a presidential race

Oh, righto, JingThing...the same "scientific polls" that predicted Hillary for Prison would win by a landlslide...with all due respect, you have been slooping on a BKK bar stool too long to know how people outside of CA, NY, NJ, WA State and OR think.

The MSM polls I participate in tally up hundreds of thousands of votes...

Actually, the polls didn't predict Hillary would win in a landslide. It gave her a popular vote victory of 3 percent. She won that by 2. Fivethirtyeight, the most respected statistical analysis site, gave Trump a 30 percent chance of winning based on the polls. But anybody who believes that polls open to everyone are somehow mathematically valid is probably immune to facts.

Oprah and Ellen for VP 555555 that should keep the left happy and ensure a President Trump win.

If only one or both of them were also Muslim, handicapped, communist or a wikan, you would have a liberal dream ticket

I don't think the democrats would put her up....the woman is a <deleted> hypocrite of the first order.  She knew about Weinstein, all Hollywood did, but she kept her mouth shut, was even good friends with him, and when he's finally outed, she jumps on the accusers' coat tails, trying to make some mileage.  She's as bad as Weinstein himself, as is Streep and a host of others.

You assume that enough Americans care about the nitty gritty of policy, the reality that to enact policy, nuanced understanding of various legitimate interests and compromises amongst them is a necessity; that data, science, facts and desires need to weighed.

If only you were right.

The fact that a guy like Trump even got nominated, let alone elected shows otherwise. He is not the disease, but just the ugly, puss-filled symptom of a seriously diseased body politic.

The problem runs deep. The solution isn’t another celebrity—even a genuinely intelligent, compassionate, widely -admired celebrity.

Agree but you have to wonder if Americans get that.  People are attracted to familiar figures that they like, people feel they know Oprah.  She has been in their homes for years and they trust her.  But it's all candy floss and not at all relevant for election to President.  Of course she would win hands down but she is not what the USA needs.

I am sure that some Trump supporters would say that he is a businessman and therefore better but in fact Oprah is far more successful in business than he is, and doesn't have hundreds of lawsuits out against her.

And sometimes Mr Trump it would just pay to keep your big trap shut!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, it can happen.... THAT would only prove that the 'american people' whoever they are, are indeed the most stupid people in this universe.
I keep on hoping that I am wrong... Maybe, just maybe, the 'american people' are not as stupid as they appeared during the last election.

Politics isn’t religion. The notion of a political “saviour” is dangerous and leads to the rise of demagoguery and fascisim.

Take a look at that mouth!  Remove the teeth and you have an almost perfect anus.  Reminds me of a Ladyboy's  a*se after a good night out!

You're speaking from personal knowledge of 'a ladyboy's arse....' etc??

It would appear so.

Has this inbecile got nothing better to do then talk crap. How about running the country properly.

Only in my dreams.  Good to know you agree that it looks and  sounds like an arse talking though.  Thanks' for the confirmation.

It would be so much simpler to line all the candidates up for a 5k run and the first one who makes it to the White House gates wins the presidency.

Troll post removed.

That counts Oprah out then and the cries and wailing of 'discriminatory' but she does fit the bill in some ways. Female, a 'person of colour' but if she's not lesbian and not been abused that would off-set the first two?  Seriously though, is there ANYONE from the Dems going to challenge this megalomaniac with an intelligent well thought-out strategy?

Forget the jibes, the Memes and all the conspiracies and name-calling that won't get the dems a win. It needs LEADERSHIP and where is it?  the Dems are a complete mess

Well, that definitely leaves Ophra out!! She would lose if given a 2k head start.

Plus, she would probably stop for lunch along the way.

Why not just make the role of president a ceremonial one, like a number of other countries heads of state?  The actual governing would be done by the elected congress, and any clown could be elected president with no lasting damage done to the country.

Of course Trump says he can beat her.  Trump would also say he looks better in high heels. Trump would tell you that he can fly if given enough time. In his mind is is the greatest.

What I can t understand is why 49.9% of Americans are picking up what he is laying down.

Picking up, consuming and savoring it as if it were fine cuisine.

The point of these articles is that, as with much of Wolff's writing, he is substantively correct but isn't as fastidious with details as some wish he were.

In other words, Wolff needs to be taken seriously, but not literally.

To use Trumpist logic: the book is a best seller, “get over it”

True and what a master-stroke of marketing but I don't believe half of it (if I read it, which i won't  lol)

“Sex is overrated,” says the virgin. ?

I was given a copy yesterday by a friend who read it on the plane ride over. He wants it back before he leaves. It’s hardly great writing. But it’s a breezy, gossipy, tabloidy read that may not stand up to close scrutiny on the details, but, overall, rings true, absolutley true, based on what we’ve all seen of Trump and the WH. The book puts entertaining flesh on the bones of the sh!tshow we’ve all been watching.

It seems clear that the part about Bannon is true.

They are not. His support has never been that high.

Classic Trump minion comments.  You don't believe half of what you haven't and won't read.

I loathe Trump and your lack of humour in equal measure.

Further, JingThing, here is Phuket, I have spoken with numerous (about 10 or so) folks from the EU and OZ who are FED UP with the globalist crap being foisted upon them by the likes of Merkel, Macron and other socialist/totalitarian degenerates; these folks I have spoken with think Trump is great. So what is your problem besides buying into the US MSM propaganda ???

John Paul Stamos, a mathematician, coined the word "innumeracy" as the mathematical counterpart to "illiteracy." Thanks for giving us another example of how it works.

Great to hear once more from all the people that were convinced Hillary would win.
