Hi . Has anyone gone this route lately. I believe showing an official document from your embassy stating you have sufficient monthly income is the main thing they are after. Do they also want to see your  bankbook to back this up? I am Canadian, living in Phuket. Thanks for any input.

I assume you are asking about using the 65k baht income option to apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement (it is not a visa).

You do a statutory declaration at the Canadian embassy. They will ask for proof of your income.

From reports I have seen Phuket immigration want back up proof for them. Either a bank book or a copy of your credit card from the bank where you income goes to.
