WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump will not open negotiations on immigration until Democrats agree to reopen the government, his spokeswoman said on Saturday in a statement.

"The president will not negotiate on immigration reform until Democrats stop playing games and reopen the government," Sarah Sanders said.

Don't like Trump but Dems are holding up funding on an UNRELATED issue. Blackmail is an unpleasant dish whenever served. All it will do is turn people against the Dems for supporting illegal aliens in preference for paying government staff.  What happens when you are illegal in Thailand? or any other country?

Oh really?  never look at Fox unlike your good self it seems... but is it true?  (rhetorical because it is obviously true).  Everyone should stop playing politics with government workers salaries and pass the Bill and fight the other issues where they should be fought.

Hope Trump stands firm on this. If he gives in he might as well pack his bags and go back to Florida. The Dems will know that he doesn't have the determination needed to defeat them, and will tear him down every time he tries to do anything.

Go Trump, go.

Actually your small handed  @*$$* grabber lived in NYC. He has his name on the front of the building so he can find it easier after a hard nite with Stormy.   Florida is a holiday home.

True but he did control his party and votes are needed from the OTHER party who want to play blackmail with workers salaries which is UNRELATED to illegal aliens.

Thats the part I dont get, why does a party that controls the congress and senate, need the minor party votes ?

Silly excuses, read his words.

On top of that not correct, he did not control his party.

That is just Democrat propaganda and is untrue.

Assuming you are serious, the GOP does not have enough senators to pass legislation without Democrat votes. The Democrats will not support the GOP on principle. Nothing gets passed that requires more than a simple majority.

Will not support on principle? Nonsense.

Democrats and GOP had a proposal that was acceptable to both, but Trump refused it. Hence the mess now.

Democrat propaganda is always untrue.

60 Votes needed - not enough GOP members.

But wait a few years - there will be less Dems in the way after 2018 and even less in 2020 when Trump gets another 4 years to continue to MAGA.

Somebody else asked the question, but there was no answer. Since you mention it again: what is a Great America, the America that was and you want back?

Yes, the mid terms will be a disaster for the dems:crazy:

And why can't any of you man-child supporters just grow a pair and come out and say it:

MAWA!

No he did not.

Four Republicans, including Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Mike Lee of Utah, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul also opposed the measure.

Trump also refused a bipartisan bill that he solicited and promised to sign out of his trust for bipartisanship.

In fact Trump is not in control of his party:

"President Trump appeared to throw a wrench into congressional budget negotiations on Thursday morning — tweeting a policy position fundamentally at odds with that of Republicans on the Hill."

The Democrats are showing how much they support the troops.

They just don't want to pay them!

I've posted this on another thread today so apologies to any who have seen it already.  Who is it who doesn't want to pay the troops again?  Who engineered the shut down again?  The GOP even spiked it with their own guys in case too many dems vote in favour.

Democrats Won’t Support CR Without DACA Deal, Hoyer Says

They would only go along with passage if DACA was included.

Paying the troops on the back of illegals getting a free pass is not a deal maker...

Can you post a link showing any evidence of that? I can't find the text of the amendment, S McCaskill makes no mention of DACA in her speech, and it was tabled by her (democrat), with 48 dem co-sponsors, so not really sure how that would be 'going along with it'.

We are talking about 2 different things.  The relevant part of my post was the video at the bottom which was on topic in response to your post- (hint it is about the military that you say the dems don't want to pay).  Mcconnell nixed McCaskill's bill to get the military paid anyway.  No mention of DACA in her bill as far as I can ascertain.
