I spent a couple of days driving around Pattaya looking for quality car audio shop with no luck.

I eventuality found a company in Chonburi. Not cheap, but high quality components and they did an excellent job replacing my  standard speakers and installing an amp and base unit.

Rocket Sound in Bangkok sorted me out quickly and efficiently one Sunday afternoon. They supplied and fitted an up-to-date Pioneer single DIN player with FLAC/Spotify support and Bluetooth/wired phone mic etc., and supplied and fitted a dashboard USB socket, and also fitted a dash cam I had bought elsewhere, all for about 6000B which I thought was reasonable. All wires hidden, and all wire connections soldered.

Local suppliers I spoke to beforehand (I think I tried all of them) seemed to have no stock, high prices, and didnt really seem to know what they were doing.
