Advice / confirmation needed - Non B visa and work permit.

1) I have a Non B Multiple Entry 1 year visa issued by the embassy in my home country. I'm about to quit my job who have provided me with a work permit since i started work here about 7 months ago - I leave the country every 90 days which is a requirement of my visa. I've read a few threads but please can people confirm that as I have a Non B Multiple entry 1 year visa that once my work permit is cancelled I won't have to leave the country immediatley or apply for a 7 day extension and then leave the country. My understanding is as my visa is not an extension of stay visa linked to my work permit then even if my work permit is cancelled then my visa is still valid and I will only have to leave the country when the next 90 day period is up based on the normal visa rules??

2) I have a new job with a completley different company due to start next month. For the Work Permit, as i'm moving company do i need a brand new work permit or is it possible to get a letter confirming my old employment has finished and then add the new employer details to my current work permit??

Thanks!

Your visa will remain valid until it expires.

Your current work permit will have to be canceled and a new one issued. Work permits cannot be transferred.

And what about nonb itself? Does it expires automatically once you cross the border or i should go to the immigration office before my departure and cancel it in advance? I have similar situation and trying to figure out what to do with my nonb , because I want to go to Laos in order to obtain new one. Don't want any problems due to cancelled improperly visa and wp

Immigration does not cancel visas issued by an embassy or consulate. They will only cancel an extension of stay issued by them.

If you have an extension of stay based upon working you would need a termination letter from your employer to cancel it. You can go to immigration a few days before the date of termination and immigration will post date the cancellation to that date.
