Ok I fully understand peoples experiences will vary, and also dependent on areas. I just want to get a general feel. How is TOT, 3BB, True and AIS? Thanks.

My experience is that any Fibre Optic cable is the way to go.

I use CAT that gives me 100/30 (which just tested at 91/50) and costs me about 1000B a month.

I've had a few issues with breakdowns but they have been resolved very quickly when I called them.

Echo the fiber optic.   I have TOT - my speeds are 60/25 mine today - your results will vary...  :-) and I pay 750B/month.

Whatever provider you decide on, avoid 3BB at all costs.  They are in a major battle with TOT about cable hanging rights  ....  3BB has a terrible track record - if they feel they are not making enough money in your area, they will stop service without notice and without compensation.  My experience..........

We had TOT Wi-net which was the first company to install in our village.

It was a huge improvement from my AIS aircard.

Having said that, we lost the signal quite often. especially in bad weather.

Over a year ago, 3BB vdsl was installed with a speed of 50/3.

590 Baht per month from memory.

Just tested today and it's 65/20.

Touch wood, we've never had one problem in over a year.

Had a phone call today saying they're coming out to install fibre optic next week.

Our current internet is perfect (for me) so I hope it doesn't bugger it up.

The rates for fibre are 100/30 700 Baht

                                        150/50 900 Baht &

                                        200/100 1200 Baht.

I guess a lot depends on where you are etc, but my opinion on 3BB has been great.

im waiting for my house construction to be finished then i will give a try on AIS fibre optic. heard it never reduced or share bandwidth ,we wait and see.....

I agree with sceadugenga, I too have too have CAT , and the service is great

So please tell me Randell what you find confusing about my statement.

Apologies Frodo77 I did indeed click the wrong emoticon. Sorry any fiber is far better than IDSL. And thank you scea

I was building out in the country. During construction TOT came by and asked if I'd like to be hooked up to their new fiber optic. I was delighted. They are the only fiber optic option in my area. Speed is good and so is service. Also a very reasonable price.
