I have some old AMEX travelers cheques that I want to cash. I took them to a bank in Pattaya, where they duly let me countersign them before refusing to honor them. So, I now have some countersigned cheques that I cannot present at another bank, as they are already countersigned! I believe that the only hope here is to take them to an actual AMEX office - and we don't seem have one in Pattaya! There is, apparently, an office in the IBM building in Bangkok, near the Ari BTS station. Does anyone know if this is the right place to go? Better still, has anyone had any dealings with this office? I'm in Bangkok next Monday so I can certainly go up to Ari but I want to avoid a wild goose chase.
