rott
A nearby Thai eatery has a section for "Herbal Curries" on the menu, their English is on a par with my Thai so I cannot understand their explanations of it. Anyone here any suggestions? Yes I could just order one and find out and I might do that but in the meantime the question stands. Thanks in advance. tolsti
Post the Thai language equivalent from the menu and people will tell you what it is. Alternatively grow a pair and go and try it and report back. If you need the 60bht to pay for it.......
Oxx
"Herbal curries" almost certainly refers to the Northern-style curry "kaeng om" (not to be confused with "kaeng som"). They are aromatic, spicy curries (no coconut milk) with various leaves and herbs. Galangal, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves are pretty standard.
