Hey,

I went on a visarun to the Maldives but the Consulate only issues visas to Maldivian people. My return flight is to BKK and I am wondering if I am allowed to reenter the country on a 30 day visa exempt and then leave after the weekend to Malaysia to apply for my Non-B visa. I am worried that I have to restart the whole WP process if I enter the country without a Non-B visa.

Regards

Technically you need a non immigrant visa entry to have a work permit.

In your case unless somebody was to notice you did not have one for a short period of time it should not be a problem.

But if they notice it at the embassy when applying for the Non-B the WP would be void?

Not likely to happen since an embassy would not be aware of work permit requirements. They would just see copies of a valid work permit.,
