Trusted Thai Language Schools?

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I have lived in LOS 8 years and been to many places in Thailand, but mostly lived on Samui, where they often understand but do not speak good English.

I have lived with my Thai GF for 7 years who is from Isaan and speaks "Tinglish"

I also speak what I believe is some conversational Thai (but sometimes I am told is Isaan by Southern Thais).

One thing that frustrates me is that my GF always speaks in the present tense.....which can often lead to confusion and arguments.

So I have tried to teach her tenses in English and sometimes speak to her in full English 'But she not understand".

I have time on my hands and have decided to bite the bullet and learn Thai for English at a language school.

Have any of you tried this route and was it worth it?

Looking forward to some valuable and amusing replies.
