Could someone please suggest a place where I could get a clean / decent room for the night close to the immagration office.

5 or 600 baht only 1 night

I do believe that one is intimating that in excess off 500 - 1000 rooms are available in that area, What a good natured chap you are

Panda hotel above the 7/11 on the corner of Soi 7 and 2nd road Jomtien.  Clean, large rooms, 600 baht

 2 blocks to Immigration and across the street from the Jomtien market and  bar complex.

Hello I recently stayed there and the only room was without a balcony but for 500 baht who cares
My room was small its a very old place
The shower head needed replacing water coming out the sides. No Warm water but didn't mater the bed was ok but at the bottom of the bed was a big gap I don't really but when I sat on it I just sunk down. Probably the TV was the best. The food seemed very nice with a big variety. But again restaurant is very old. Would I stay there again probably not. I found 3 other places that look promising so I will try nextime
