“Right now Thailand has two people who are making moves overseas, but they end up causing chaos in the country,” Prayuth said

I see that Prayuth has mastered Chaos Theory and successfully applied the Butterfly Effect, congrats.

Rumor is His Fuminess learned it from a frog.

Wikipedia:

"On 9 December 2013, Yingluck dissolved the country's parliament and called early elections in the face of anti-government protests.[68]

On 7 May 2014, the Constitutional Court unanimously dismissed Yingluck from office in consequence of her removing an appointee of the an earlier government, Thawil Pliensri, from his post as National Security Council secretary-general in 2011.

The remaining ministers selected Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan to replace Yingluck as caretaker prime minister as protests continued.[10]

The RTA intervened on 20 May 2014, when its commander, General Prayut, exercised the power under the act promulgated by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) entitled Martial Law, BE 2457 (1914),[11] to impose martial law nationwide from 03:00."

It's reasonable to assume the CC was "silent partner" in the coup as it would have been extremely dangerous for the military to move against the Government while the much loved peoples PM (Yingluck) was in office.

Thank you for the facts. The last sentence of course is pure conjecture on your part. Given the numbers of protesters against YL and the failure of the Shin paramilitaries to mobilize to "defend democracy - 555" maybe they'd fallen out of love?

Regardless of removing YL the PTP was still owned and dictated to by her brother.

Nice to see the rich people out shopping in smog filled Beijing.

I think they should go on spending their money, and help the local economies of the

countries they stay at.   Comparing Yingluck to anyone else is unfair to the other person,

as I think that Michelle Yeoh looks way better, is younger and likely has more respect from,

her fans.

Geezer

'Prayut fumes ...' That is all he ever does - hold temper tantrums and throw out his dummy from his pram. And this is the man who swore and sang that he would 'bring happiness back to the Thai people'. What a joke!

The great and benevolent leader has already insured happiness. He is lowering unemployment. He is growing the economy. He is increasing tourism revenue. He is increasing exports. He is abiding by all of the terms of the ASEAN charters he signed, and allowing the duty free importation of all beer throughout ASEAN. They are on all of the supermarket shelves as we speak. We are not longer subject to the very low quality local beers. He is making visa policy easy, simple and streamlined, and all tourists are very happy about that. He is improving traffic and public safety. Corruption is being eliminated, and innocent fall guys are no longer getting charged for murder, and being put to death. The taxi mafia on Samui and Phuket have been eliminated, and tourists can now get a taxi at a fair price. Life is better for all now that this great man is demonstrating his genius and vision on a daily basis. All he cares about is the welfare of his own people, and the happiness of both tourists and the ex-pat community. He contemplates this day and night.

Now back to reality. The goons in charge are focusing their efforts in all the wrong areas. They are trying to make Thailand a Quaker State. A land of purity. Total BS. Nonsense. Misplaced priorities, and wasted efforts. They should be focusing their efforts on traffic and public safety, easing import tariffs, making visa policy simpler, and more friendly, boosting Western tourism, real crackdowns on slavery, and illegal fishing instead of nonsensical hyperbole, cleaning up the water, the air, the rivers, and the beaches, and other things that actually improve lives.

Little P. - Not making Thailand great again. And moving the nation backwards at an astonishing and alarming pace.
