Protesters gather Sunday at the UN headquarters

BANGKOK — Environmental activists pledged Monday to march on the Government House to protest plans to construct a coal power plant in the south.

The march, which would violate the junta’s ban on protests, is necessary because the military regime has so far ignored the protesters’ demand to completely halt the project, protest leader Prasitchai Nunuan told reporters today.

The headline should have said, Green Day.  How much has Green Peace and like parties paid for this ro

happen. One power plant!   Go to India and see the country with real,  coal fired power plant problems.

Not to mention, India is likely number one in the world for pollution output.

From my experiences of Greenpeace, I would say they paid nothing to bring about this protest.

Believe it or not Thais can, and do, care about their country and it's attitude towards the environment.

Not everything is a vast conspiracy, you know.

Not as a whole it isn't. Individual cities, perhaps.

But then, I'm more concerned with the Thai government's ability - or lack, thereof - to deal with Thailand's excessive pollution levels.

I've tried, and failed, to find a link between the black day and the prestigious Bangkok school of the headline.

Geezer

Nothing to do with Greenpeace.

The Thais have seen a very subdued reaction to recent political protests and have started coming out of the woodwork.

Mr tu better seriously improve on his poetry.

Ritchie & Roser 2017, based on data from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center, http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/emis/tre_coun.html. GDP is in 2011 international dollars; for the years before 1990, GDP comes from Maddison Project 2014.

Pinker, Steven. Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism, and Progress (pp. 143-144). Penguin Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.

according to the above data the US gives out twice as much Co2 emissions as does India per dollar of GDP.

Well come on then, how much? You are making the accusation so you should know...

For the pollution experts, how much pollution, does a volcano put out with each eruption.

Oh oh, I forgot,  that is not man made, and cannot have a tax against it. Sooo sorry!

Geezer
