Retirement extension with Non-O multi

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 1-year Non-O multi visa based on marriage. My last entry will expire in 30 days. Can I apply for a 1-year retirement extension (in Chaeng Wattana) with that visa or do I need to change it to Non-O-A before applying? Thanks.

You can apply for a 1 year extension with your current visa/permit to stay anytime in the next 30 days. You will need to show either 400K in the bank for 2 months, OR a certified (by your bank) income of at least 40K pm.

if you need to season the 400,000 baht you could apply for a 60 day 'visit Thai wife' extension

You can apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement at any time now since you have a non-o visa entry. There is no requirement to have a OA visa before applying.

You will need 800k baht in the bank for 60 days or proof on 65k baht income proven by a letter from your embassy or a combination of the 2 totaling 800k baht.

The retirement extension requires 800K in a Thai bank for 60 days, or an income of 65K a month, or a combination of the two totalling 800K per annum.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that.

I'll apply for the retirement extension later this week as I meet all the requirements.
